Yin

Restorative Slow Flow

  • All Levels
  • Gentle, Mindful Movement
  • Recovery & Flexibility
  • Restorative & Meditative

Step into quiet, sink into stillness, and make way for a profound sense of release. Through long, gentle holds, Yin yoga reaches your deeper layers of connective tissue, inviting relaxation and spaciousness throughout the body and mind. Moving between tension and ease, each posture encourages physical alignment and mindful presence, offering the perfect complement to more active, Yang-style classes.

As with all Sahna practices, each teacher brings their own approach, guiding you toward openness, ease, and renewed vitality. You’ll leave feeling grounded, expansive, and deeply restored, carrying a calm and resilience that lingers long after the practice ends.

What to Know Before Class

  • What to Expect

Yin moves at a slow, deliberate pace with postures held for several minutes at a time. This creates space for deeper release in the connective tissues and for cultivating stillness in the mind. Expect a quiet, meditative atmosphere that balances more dynamic, intense workouts. If you’re new to heated workouts, allow yourself five to ten classes to fully acclimate.

  • Benefits

This class restores balance to both body and mind. You’ll increase flexibility, support joint health, and release built-up tension. Yin also promotes a meditative state, reducing stress and encouraging a calm that often lingers long after class.

  • Who Should Flow

Yin is perfect for anyone in need of rest, recovery, or deep release. It’s especially supportive for athletes looking to complement higher-intensity training or yogis seeking stillness and stress relief.

  • Why Heat

The studio is heated to a temperature ranging from 32–40°C, with humidity levels adjusted to mimic a warm, tropical environment. This heat helps muscles warm faster, supporting deeper and safer stretches. It increases circulation and opens the respiratory system, promoting deeper breathing while fuelling stamina and endurance. You’re guaranteed to sweat, which promotes detoxification, leaving you feeling lighter and clearer. The warm environment also encourages focus and stress release, helping you find mental clarity and presence on the mat.

  • Tips for Class

Arrive a few minutes early to settle into the heat and prepare your body. Bring water, a mat, and a towel, and make sure to hydrate well before and after class. The flow is adaptable to your intention. Take care to settle into each posture without forcing. Yin is about surrender. The more you release, the more you’ll receive.

Sink into stillness. Leave grounded, expanded, and restored.
